An All Volunteer Hiking Trail Organization


 

Mission Statement:  The mission of the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association, Inc., (CRATA) is to promote and preserve nature and nature education in the greater Tallapoosa River Valley through access to footpath only trails.

Founded in 2004 by Jimmy K. Lanier, the Cherokee Ridge Alpine Trail Association (CRATA), is dedicated to the design, building, and maintenance of quality, well marked foot path only trails around the Lake Martin area.  

Managed by a Board of Directors (see below for current Board members), this 501(c)(3) non-profit organization has developed partnerships with all the major stake-holders in the area in order to insure a long range plan to increase opportunities for wholesome outdoor activities and educate our community on good stewardship of our natural resources.
